Put the .menc files back on the original Windows Mobile device and start the steps over again. So long as you still have access to the original device and it hasn't been reset, you should be good to go! Otherwise, all gone, bye bye.

ActiveSync over the PC might work, if the Explorer view sees the files as "normal" files ("book.xls" rather than "book.xls.menc"), otherwise, you could email the files to yourself, or obtain an FTP client and upload them to yourself.

I'd be happy to sue my ex-employer e.magination network in Baltimore MD for not giving me a copy of the group contract, and for offering this high risk US Properties Separate Account as part of our 401K plan.

Also, Principal should obviously be sued for their fraudulent actions - for not informing their clients of the "built-in contractual agreement", and putting a freeze on the withdrawls. If they don't have the liquidity to honor the withdrawl requests, they should declare bankruptsy.

Any lawyers willing to help? Is anyone in the government listening?

sooo... this sounded great... except i cut/paste the files to my laptop, and then deleted them from the card, moved the card to another (non-encrypted) phone; then i attempted to put the card back in the original handset and copy them back onto the card to attempt salvaging them- no dice.

any ideas?

I have lost over $80000 in this account. I will do all I can to warn people not to let this company touch their money, and I would advise everyone else to do the same. This "fixed income" investment was more volatile than any of their other investments..............should have left it in a high risk investment , it would have been safer.

In 2008, they told us perhaps in the fall we could move our money out of the U. S. Property Separate Account. I called today, October 5, 2009, and they told me they do not know when we can move our money. We have lost over $40, 000 invested in this account. Are they waiting for the account to go down to zero before we can make a move?

Yes, I know how ad networks work, and yes, I know that web site owners donlt
have control over the individual ads served through those networks. The
point I was making was the irony of a church owned website allowing ads to
be run which are arguably contrary to the church's core standards.

What else I find ironic is that a newspaper website is running ads from an
outside ad server and not selling and displaying their own ads.

Do you know how websites work? Many ads are automatically fed and tough to control at times. I had google category ads showing up on my site for gay and lesbian things because the page was on marriage and the ads contained the word marriage. Once found, I made some account setting adjustments to eliminate them. Point, I doubt that they knew that was going to show up before it did.

Our corporate policy settings make it a forced mandatory setting for card encryption to be enabled (you cannot turn it off, even temporarily). How else can you pull data from the card? I imagine active sync to a PC may work (haven't tried it yet)...
